SECTION K: SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Summary

Ø                The client child name is R-jay Gonzales. His true parents got separated. He lives now in his mother’s second family with his stepfather Danny and stepsisters Garen and Grace.The client child has been preferred by his mother to the therapist.The problem of the child has been identified by his mother ans stepfather. The problem  is that the client child does not want to accept  the fact that his mother has her second family. As result of it, According to her mother (Gina), the client child does not follow the commands and requests of his stepfather and he does not also respect him as his stepfather, it is also proven by the stepfather of the child. According to the client, he is a smart boy, he knows how to read the alphabet and numbers.The client has also good relationship to his mother, stepsisters and playmates.He doesn't like his stepfather.He always watching tv after schooling and helps her mother in household-chores.
                As the therapist identify the problem of the child, the therapist gathered information that affects the behavior of the client. Next, the therapist set goals on how she could help the mother of the client to identify his maladaptive behavior (disrespect and disobedience) and change to adaptive behaviors. The therapist also designed specific activities that can help the client child to identify his behavioral problem. At the end of the case, the goals of the therapist have been fully achieved by the client child. In this case study, the client child build knowledge about respect and disobedience, build skill in terms of communication, relationship and speaking, build attitudes in giving importance in respecting others and obeying them especially the adults that gives the client child the meaning of life.
